Brown-Butter Banana Bread

- Butter1/2 cup
- Brown sugar3/4 cup
- Eggs2 large
- Vanilla extract1 tsp
- All-purpose flour1 3/4 cups

- Walnuts, chopped3/4 cup
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
- 2Brown butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, swirling until it smells nutty and the milk solids are deep amber, then cool.
- 3Mash bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth with a few small chunks for texture.
- 4Whisk in brown butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until glossy.
- 5Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; fold just until no streaks remain, then fold in walnuts.
- 6Pour into the pan and bake 55–65 minutes until a tester comes out with moist crumbs.
- 7Cool in the pan 15 minutes, then turn out onto a rack to cool completely before slicing.
